Just In: Update On Colleges of Education Reopening Date, Allowance, and Feeding Component
Today, we are pleased to present to you the latest update on the Colleges of Education reopening date, the date for payment of trainees allowances, and the feeding component.
The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education has released a new date for the reopening of the 46 Public Colleges of Education pending approval by the Minister of Education.
According to PRINCOF newly drafted academic calendar for 2021/2022 level 200 and level 300 B.Ed students will resume school on 17th October 2021 whilst the prospective level 100’s will resume in January 2022.
Kindly be informed that PRINCOF will meet the Minister of Education on Thursday 23rd, September 2021 to confirm the reopening date.

Update On Teacher Trainees Allowance
The Minister of Education has disclosed last month that teacher trainees allowance will be paid before the end of September 2021 but the news reaching our News Desk has revealed that Government is considering releasing funds to the Student Loan Trust Fund for the payment of the allowances.
The payment of the trainee’s allowances will be done in the first week of October 2021.
Feeding Component
The Principal of Wiawso College of Education, Dr.Emmanuel Cassamar has disclosed that the feeding components will be refunded to trainees in due time.
The Principal said this when the SRC of the college met him.
