Just In:Akatsi College Of Education CETAG Members Resume Work
The Information culled from the Ghana News Agency Online Portal has indicated that the Members of the Colleges Of Education Teachers Association of Ghana CETAG, Akatsi College of Education chapter, has returned to work after a strike action, which commenced on Thursday, January 6.
On Tuesday 25th January 2022, a visit by GNA Reporter saw members of CETAG engaged in some academic activities.
Mr. Ismael Edem Dorwu, the Akatsico branch Chairman of CETAG, told the GNA that all the 52 members of CETAG in Akatsico had resumed work.
In a press statement, the Association said teaching would be restored in all the 46 public colleges of education from Tuesday, January 25.”
“All arrears must be paid fully in February by the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD),” the statement said.
Colleges Of Education 2021/2022 Academic Year First Semester Reopening Arrangements
The Association also entreated the Fair Wages and Salary Commission to initiate the needed steps to re-engage the leadership of CETAG to conclude the negotiations of the 2021 CoS before the end of February 2022.
The Ghana News Agency also observed some academic activities were ongoing during the visit, including orientation for third-year students.
