Licensure Certificate Not A Sole Criteria For GES Recruitment.
Licensure Examination is implemented to test professionality and mental faculties of newly trained teachers.
Professor Opoku Amankwa has stated that having a licensure certificate cannot be a yardstick for Ghana Education Service to recruit you as a graduate.
According to him in an interview on UTV Ghana, the Professor stated that although the licensure certificate is one requirement for Ghana Education Service, it doesn’t mean you will be recruited.
Furthermore, he the Professor added that the subject or your course of specialization is a major factor because Ghana Education Service recruit to fill specific vacancies or to teach specific subjects.
Moreover, ” We said that you must have your licensure certificate before you can teach , so if GES asks for teachers with specialization in geography, then you can apply” He added.
Professor Opoku Amankwa bemoan the worrying situation as to why unqualified graduates still apply and when not recruited blame the service.
