Special Needs Basic Schools To Be Free – GES
Basic public schools attended by special needs children are proposed to be included in the free senior high school program in the country.
The Director General of Ghana Education Service, Professor Opoku Amankwa says plans are underway for public special needs basic schools to be included in the government flagship free senior high school program.
In an interview with Peace FM , the Director General said the central government in due course will communicate more details on the development to the members of the general public.
Moreover, according to him, ” We have the majority special needs schools at the basic level and what we are planning is to add them to the free senior high School policy even though they are basic schools and because they are special” Mr Opoku Amankwa told Sefa Kayi , the host.
