2022/23 Admission Forms for Colleges of education are out.
The admission forms of colleges of education for 2022/23 academic year are released. Qualified individuals seeking to pursue a four year Bachelor of education degree in the public colleges of education can apply.
The release of the colleges of education admission forms comes after the Conference of Principals of Colleges of education in a statement said the teacher training admission forms will be out in April.
According to PRINCOF, to qualify for the admission into the colleges of education , the applicants must have A1-C6 in the core subjects thus, English language, Mathematics and Integrated Science and credit passes in elective subjects .
Also, the National Conference of Principals of Colleges of education said interested applicants with SSCE certificates who had A-D in three core subjects can also apply to be considered for the 2022/23 teacher training admission.
Moreover, in a released development, the management of National Teaching Council has stated colleges of education entrance exam will be conducted for applicants before given admission to pursue various teacher courses . The entrance exam dubbed Ghana Basic Education Skills Examination Test (GBEST). and slated August for this year .
The Registrar of the Council, Dr. Christian Addai Poku has said they will assess students in in literacy and numeracy. According to him , students who become successful at the Ghana Basic Education Skills Examination Test , the Teaching Council will give admission to pursue various teacher education courses.
“The GBEST will thus , be used as the entry assessment for the trainee teachers and after completion , the students will be made to write a level and subject based licensure examination to be qualified as professional teachers”. he stated.
