The General entry requirements for any WASSCE candidate to get admission at any tertiary institution in Ghana is A1-C6 in Core Subjects namely; Mathematics, English language, Social Studies, and Integrated Science and Credit passes in three elective subject areas.
According to the WAEC grading system, D7 is interpreted as pass but it’s not accepted in tertiary institutions. Many educationists have criticized WAEC for interpreting D7 as a pass but a candidate who gets D7 is not qualified to get admitted at tertiary institutions.
