In a press release dated 31st December 2021, the Ministry of Education has refuted claims on the cancellation of the restored teacher and nursing trainee allowances.
According to the Ministry Of Education,
some writers are circulating fabricated news to misinform the public regarding the cancellation of teacher and nurse trainees allowances.

“We did not engage in any consultations whatsoever regarding the cancellation of the teacher and nurse trainees allowances.” Ministry Of Education Further explained.

Not too long ago, there was news circulating on social media that teacher and nursing trainee’s allowances have been scrapped as the government is set to restore Student Loans for Colleges Of Education and Nursing Training Colleges.
According to the said news in circulation, teacher and nursing trainees will no longer receive their allowances but will now have to apply for student Loan payable after completion.
