TTAG Schedules A Meeting With Ministry of Education Over Food Shortage In CoE.
The leadership Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana has scheduled a meeting with the Ministry of Education following the directive by PRINCOF for Trainees to feed themselves. This meeting is scheduled on Friday, this week.
In an interview with the President of Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana, Jonathan Dzunu, he said his outfit and prospective students are not in support of the directive by the National Conference of Principals of Colleges of education (PRINCOF).
“Our position as students is that we don’t support the decision of PRINCOF. The Principals are taking this decision because they have not been given the feeding component that comes with the allowance” Jonathan told Citi FM .
He further told Accra based FM station ” So our position is that this should be solved as soon as possible. Students cannot be starved . We want to meet the Ministry of Education and tell them what we want to do”.
Moreover, the impending meeting meeting with Dr. Yaw Adutwum led Ministry of Education follows the directive by PRINCOF for Trainees to feed themselves from 8th May, 2022 due to a debt owed food suppliers
