Holy Child College Of Education is a Catholic Female Teacher Training Institution located at Sekondi Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana.
The acting Principal is the very much respected Mr. Kojo Amuah Prah. He is the catalyst who stimulates all students to do their best and stand as pillars of strength.
On Friday, 05th March 2020, Holy Child College of Education kicked off its 75th Anniversary Celebration at the Chapel to mark the anniversary celebration, all students wore the Holy Child Lacoste with blue Jeans to lectures instead of the usual Friday Wear African Prints.
In the evening, all Students converged at the Cornelia Connelly Hall to continue with the anniversary celebration.
The College Management, HOPSANS, Reverend Sisters, and The SRC Executive honored the occasion with their presence.
The College History was read by Rev. Sister Vivian and Ms. Munirat Hassan, The TTAG National Women’s Commissioner.
The HOPSANs present also reminisced on the founders of college who believed in the holistic training of women. They advised the student body to allow themselves to be trained in this Catholic Institution to support the development of mother Ghana.
They enlightened the minds of all young and enterprising Students of Holy Child College of Education.
The Entertainment Committee displayed an entertaining yet educative Choreography and Drama afterward.
With the assistance of the College Mass Choir, the rendition of the College Anthem was sung.
On Saturday, 6th March 2021, the SRC Executive Council in collaboration with the sports committee organized students for short Hall-based games and other extracurricular activities.
On 8th May 2021, there was a Thanksgiving service to mark the end of the 75th Anniversary Celebration.
HOPSANS worldwide participated in the 75th Anniversary Celebration Virtually. All Holy Chid Schools and Colleges worldwide participated in the celebration.
It is the biggest day in the history of the College to also participate in the 75th Anniversary Celebration and this is a huge success on its own.
