Government Has Released Ghs67m to Colleges of education as feeding fee.
The Ghana Government has given 67 million Ghana Cedis as feeding fee for Colleges of education in Ghana.
The government of Ghana has taken such decision following the directive given by PRINCOF for teacher trainees to feed themselves as a result debts owed by the government.
In a press conference held in Accra on 20th April ,2022, the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum said ” I am very happy to inform you that government has released 67,942,652 cedis to Colleges of education as feeding fee.
I know you may have read media reports , there were many calls on us to respond to concerns of PRINCOF. We want to let the country know that the President of the Republic of Ghana, the Finance Minister and all those who have worked hard to ensure various promises made to Colleges of education are carried through, have delivered on their promise. That is why this amount has been released to the Colleges of education” the Minister of Education has stated.
