TTAG President Sends A Message To Teacher Trainees In Colleges Of Education
Teacher Trainees Association Of Ghana’s President, Mr. Jonathan Dzunu spoke in brief with the media on the next action the association will take to address the declared indefinite strike.
On Monday, 11th November 2022, CETAG and CENTSAG declared an indefinite industrial strike across all the forty-six (46) Colleges of Education in cthe country.
The demands of the two (2) Unions, CETAG and CENTSAG were placed on the table of discussion with the government on several occasions yet their wishes were not granted.
The government’s inability to fulfill the demands of the associations has compelled them to go on strike.
Speaking on phone with 3FM 92.7 today, Mr. Dzunu disclosed that the strike which befall all the forty-six (46) Colleges of Education (CoE) has lasted too long.
Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) and the government will sit and discuss the way forward toward addressing the issues on Tuesday 22nd November 2022.

The TTAG President told 3FM that “if tomorrow’s meeting doesn’t turn out positive, then TTAG’s only choice is to advise all Teacher Trainees because they cannot allow them to stay on campus beyond the one (1) strike so far.
Already, the strike has lasted for a week. Teaching and learning have come to a stop, Teacher Trainees do not know when academic work will be restored.
